Hey guys, I'm just starting out in forex trading and I've heard different opinions about demo accounts. Should I start with a demo account or dive right into a real account?

Hey @neonglow, welcome to the trading world. I'd strongly recommend starting with a demo account. It's a great way to get familiar with your trading platform and understand the basics of trading without risking any real money.

I agree with @tradingace, @neonglow. Demo accounts are essential for beginners. They allow you to practice trading strategies, get used to market movements, and build confidence. When you feel comfortable and have a solid strategy, then you can think about switching to a real account.

That makes sense. But won't it be different when I start trading with real money? I've heard that emotions play a big part in trading.

You're right, @neonglow. Trading with real money is different because emotions like fear and greed come into play. However, starting with a demo account helps you develop a disciplined approach and understand the technical aspects of trading. Once you transition to a real account, you'll have a better foundation.
